LGN Partner Heidi Silton Spoke at Minnesota Women Lawyers.
Lockridge Grindal Nauen's Heidi Silton, Partner, was a part of an esteemed panel of woman attorneys, focusing on the topic of Antitrust Law. The event took place on Thursday, January 19 at Greene Espel (200 South Sixth Street, Suite 1200, Minneapolis).
The presentation was organized by the Minnesota Women Lawyers and was part of a 5-part seminar series, focusing on both areas of law that are often over-looked or under-represented by women attorneys, as well as areas of law that may be particularly "hot" at the moment. Each seminar offered an experienced panel of attorneys who will discuss:
- The legal high points and trends in each particular area of law (key legal terms, case law, etc);
- From day to day, what it is like to practice in this area of law;
- How each panelist found themselves practicing in this area of law;
- What success looks like, and how each panelist gained her success;
- What particular skills and interests are necessary for success?
This seminar series was geared towards members interested in:
- A conversational knowledge of a particular area of law (great for cocktail parties and impressing colleagues!);
- A possible transition to a new area of law;
- Celebrating and learning from women attorneys who have gain significant success in their careers, often by forging the road less-traveled or by taking advantage of legal trends.

LGN partners Richard Lockridge and Gregg Fishbein presented "Update on Developments in Securities Law Related to the Disruption in the Financial Markets" at the 24th Annual Police, Fire, EMS & Municipal Employee Pension & Benefits Seminar.
The seminar was held January 15-17, 2012 at Caesar's Palace, Las Vegas.
