Senator Dan Larson returns to LGN

On July 9th Senator Dan Larson sent Governor Pawlenty his letter of resignation effective November 5th. Senator Larson will return to Lockridge Grindal Nauen (LGN) July 21st. Dan worked at LGN in its Government Relations department from 1994 to 1998 before running for office.

Senator Larson served four terms in the Minnesota House of Representatives before running and being elected to the Minnesota Senate in 2006. Dan has represented Bloomington, Richfield and south Minneapolis with distinction over the past decade.

Dan will not be a registered lobbyist until his public service ends on November 5th. However, during this time, he will be a key part of our team in providing strategic advice to our clients and the firm.

We are very excited to have Dan back at the firm in our Government Relations department.

LGN will sponsor Scripps National Spelling Bee for second year

In March 2009, LGN will sponsor the regional competition for the Scripps National Spelling Bee in St. Paul for the second straight year. This year's regional champion, He Li, was one of 288 spellers who competed at the 2008 Scripps National Spelling Bee on May 26 - 30 in Washington D.C. The competition was broadcast on ESPN360, ESPN and ABC on May 29 and 30.
