Elizabeth A. Emerson is a lobbyist on the LGN Government Relations team. She served the Minnesota House of Representatives as Administrator for the House Commerce and Labor Committee, Labor and Consumer Protection Division and Telecommunications Regulation and Infrastructure Division. She was the Legislative Assistant to the House Assistant Minority Leader, now Majority Leader, and to three other representatives. In addition to her political and campaign experience, Ms. Emerson worked with the AmeriCorps VISTA program at Legal Aid Society of Minneapolis. In 2007, St. Paul Mayor Chris Coleman appointed her to serve a two-year term on the city's Human Rights Commission.
Ms. Emerson is a 2000 graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. She attended the University of Minnesota's Humphrey Institute and graduated in 2004 with a Master of Public Policy degree.
