Elizabeth A. Emerson is a lobbyist on the LGN Government Relations team. She served the Minnesota House of Representatives as Administrator for the House Commerce and Labor Committee, Labor and Consumer Protection Division and Telecommunications Regulation and Infrastructure Division. She was the Legislative Assistant to the House Assistant Minority Leader and to three other representatives. In addition to her political and campaign experience, Ms. Emerson worked with the AmeriCorps VISTA program at Legal Aid Society of Minneapolis. She also is serving her second term as a Commissioner on St. Paul's Human Rights and Equal Economic Opportunity Commission, as appointed by Mayor Chris Coleman. She also represents the St Paul Commission on the MN League of Human Rights Commissions. Ms. Emerson is also active in her community as a volleyball coach at Highland Park Middle School and as a mentor to students at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs.
Ms. Emerson is a 2000 graduate of the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish. She attended the University of Minnesota's Humphrey Institute and graduated in 2004 with a Master of Public Policy degree.
