J. Michael Schwartz is of counsel with the firm. For two dozen years he has litigated complex cases throughout the country involving toxic torts, real estate, product liability, professional malpractice and insurance coverage disputes. His clients have included governmental agencies, Fortune 500 corporations, insurance companies, real estate developers, small businesses, real estate brokers and law firms, as well as individual parties. Before practicing law, Mr. Schwartz earned a Ph.D. from Cornell and taught Sociology at the University of Florida. A 1968 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Grinnell College, Mr. Schwartz received his law degree from the University of Minnesota. He has been listed among Minnesota's “Super Lawyers” and “Top Appellate Lawyers,” and is listed in several Who's Who publications.
