Experience

Michael A. Franklin is an attorney and Minnesota government relations professional with over a decade's experience in mobilizing key grassroots networks to achieve desired legislative outcomes. Franklin's focus on organizing, fundraising, and communications development maximizes LGN clients' effectiveness to support their government relations goals.

Prior to joining LGN, Franklin spent 6 ½ years as the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce's Director of Energy and Elections policy. While at the Chamber, Franklin directed the Minnesota Chamber Leadership Fund Political Action Committee, as well as related grassroots and grasstops advocacy for Chamber members at the legislative and regulatory level. Prior to his work at the Chamber, Mr. Franklin served as the Western States Regional Political Manager for Associated Builders and Contractors. In 2002 he served as Finance Director for a U.S. Congressional campaign in Iowa's 5th district.

Franklin holds a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law (magna cum laude), as well as a, B.A. in Political Science and History (cum laude) from the University of Minnesota — Twin Cities.
