Megan G. Helge joins the firm's government relations team after working in Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty's administration. There she served as the legislative coordinator for the Minnesota Department of Health executing Governor Pawlenty's health care legislative agenda. During this time, Ms. Helge successfully passed the All Hazards Emergency Response legislation coordinating state, county, and local entities in the response to natural disasters or terrorist attacks. She achieved extensive experience in developing and implementing bold and innovative public health policy while serving Governor Pawlenty's administration. Ms. Helge previously worked at Lockridge Grindal Nauen's State Government Relations Minneapolis office, assisting numerous clients on health care, and business related issues. Her keen understanding of health care issues is complimented by her experience working with key elected officials, including time as a Legislative Assistant in the Minnesota Senate Republican Caucus and time working with former Minnesota Senator Dave Durenberger at the National Institute of Health Policy in Minneapolis. Ms. Helge also has worked on numerous local, state, and national campaigns including achieving the largest number of Republican Senators in Minnesota history. Ms. Helge is a graduate of the University of St. Thomas with a bachelor's degree in Political Science.
