Overview

Amos A. Briggs brings more than a decade of experience at the Capitol to effectively advocate for clients on range of issues including commerce and regulatory reforms, bonding initiatives, software and technology matters, and education funding and policy. He applies his advanced knowledge of Minnesota’s political landscape and legislative process, along with his extensive network of personal relationships, to represent nonprofits, businesses, trade associations, labor unions, and tribal governments. Additionally, Mr. Briggs regularly advises organizations pursuing opportunities through the state’s complex public procurement process. Before joining LGN, Mr. Briggs served as the Director of Communications with the Minnesota Senate DFL Caucus where he oversaw caucus media strategy and served as a senior advisor to the Senate Majority Leader. He previously worked at the state legislature as a policy researcher and as committee staff in the areas of state government finance, pensions, and data practices. Mr. Briggs earned a B.A. in political science and anthropology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Prior to his career in Minnesota politics, he managed political campaigns in Wisconsin
