David Hahn practices in the firm’s business litigation, employment law, and political law groups, representing individuals, businesses, and public entities in a wide range of disputes.  On the litigation side, David has extensive experience briefing novel and complex legal issues in state and federal court and has argued critical motions at both the trial and appellate level. He also regularly advises employers on a range of workplace issues and represents employers responding to charges of discrimination before local, state, and federal administrative agencies. He recently completed a secondment in the in-house legal department for a major global company.

Prior to joining the firm as an attorney, David served as a law clerk to the Honorable David R. Stras on the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit and the Honorable Eric C. Tostrud on the United States District Court for the District of Minnesota. Before that, David graduated summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2019, where he served as the Lead Note and Comment Editor for the Minnesota Law Review, an instructor in the legal writing program, and a research assistant for a professor of administrative and tax law.

David received a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and mathematics from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.  He now lives in Northfield.
