Madison J. Gaffney is an associate attorney at Lockridge Grindal Nauen, where her practice focuses on antitrust litigation.

Before entering private practice, Maddie clerked for Judge Gail T. Kulick of Minnesota’s Seventh Judicial District and went on to be an associate attorney at Hennepin County Adult Representation Services.

Maddie earned her bachelor’s degree from Hamline University in 2020 and her Juris Doctorate and Master of Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School in 2023. While in law school, she served on the Moot Court Advisory Committee, was a semi-finalist of Harvard University’s 2023 Animal Law Moot Court Competition, and worked as a Symposium Editor of Vermont Law Review. Her Note, Only Bilateral Agreements Can Stop Wildfires: Why Diplomacy Through the U.S.—Canada Air Quality Agreement is a Solution for Wildfire-Related Transboundary Pollution, was published in the Vermont Law Review. She has since authored additional legal journal publications
