Amos Briggs applies his advanced knowledge of the state’s political landscape, extensive network of influential leaders at the Capitol, and deep background in policy analysis and public relations to advise firm clients on commerce, technology, education, and labor issues.
Before joining LGN, Mr. Briggs served as the Director of Communications with the Minnesota Senate DFL Caucus where he oversaw caucus media strategy on a diverse legislative agenda and served as a senior advisor to the Senate Majority Leader. Mr. Briggs previously served the Senate DFL Caucus coordinating policy research and legislative affairs, and developed a strong knowledge of the legislative process working with committee staff in the areas of state government finance, pensions, and data practices.
Prior to his career in Minnesota politics, Mr. Briggs managed political campaigns in Wisconsin. He also brings client-focused experience from the private sector where he served as project manager on implementations of electronic medical records for some of the nation’s leading health care organizations. Mr. Briggs earned a B.A. in political science and anthropology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
