Nate Mussell spent a week volunteering in early August in Rockport, TX with Samaritan’s Purse helping with the rebuilding efforts for houses that were severely damaged during Hurricane Harvey. In 2017, Hurricane Harvey made landfall in Rockport as a Category 4 hurricane resulting in almost one quarter of the area residents losing their homes to extensive wind and water damage. Samaritan’s Purse has been on the ground in Rockport for over two years providing assistance to area residents both in the immediate aftermath of the storm and in the ongoing efforts to rebuild damaged properties. Samaritan’s Purse is an international Christian Humanitarian Aid and Disaster Relief Organization currently providing disaster relief and rebuilding efforts to communities across the United States affected by Hurricane Harvey, Hurricane Florence, Hurricane Michael, and most recently providing on-the-ground medical response to communities in the Bahamas devastated by Hurricane Dorian.
LGN Partner Nate Mussell participated in a panel with the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Health Law Section CLE on February 15th. The panel offered perspectives on potential changes to health care law during this year’s legislative session in St. Paul. The panel also touched on how a new governor, new committee chairmen, and the country’s only divided state legislature could impact health policy in Minnesota.
Mr. Mussell represents a number of clients in the firm’s government relations and health care law practice areas, including physician associations, a major hospital system, and numerous other businesses impacted by state health policy in Minnesota and throughout the Midwest.
