WomenWinning’s mission is to encourage, promote, support, and elect pro-choice women of all political parties to all levels of public office.

19 LGN Attorneys Named Super Lawyers & Rising Stars

Lockridge Grindal Nauen is proud to announce that nineteen of the firm’s attorneys were selected as 2022 Minnesota Super Lawyers and Rising Stars.

Kate Baxter-Kauf, Joe Bruckner, Brian Clark, Susan Ellingstad, Gregg Fishbein, Yvonne Flaherty, Ted Grindal, Dick Lockridge, Kristen Marttila, Charlie Nauen, Rebecca Peterson, Karen Hanson Riebel, Robert Selquist, Heidi Silton, and David Zoll have been named Super Lawyers. Super Lawyers recognizes the top 5% of outstanding lawyers in each state, who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement, from more than 70 practice areas. 

Joe Bourne, Rebecca Kanninen, Rachel Kitze Collins, and Arielle Wagner have been named Rising Stars. The Rising Stars recognition is given to the top 2.5% of up-and-coming attorneys in the state who are either 40 years or younger, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. 

The selection process is multi-phased including independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations.

LGN Partner Rebecca J. Kanninen Named Head of State Government Relations Practice

Today, the litigation and lobbying firm of Lockridge Grindal Nauen P.L.L.P. (LGN) announced that Rebecca J. Kanninen is the new head of State Government Relations, succeeding firm partner Ted Grindal in the role. The transition will occur over the next several months of 2022.

“Rebecca and I began succession planning several years ago. Today’s announcement is the next step in the thoughtful execution of our efforts,” said Ted Grindal. “The firm has worked to build a successful government relations practice over the past 40 years and we are the premier government relations team in the state. While I will remain a partner at the firm, I am stepping back from this role and Rebecca will head our practice and continue to build upon our firm’s success.”

LGN was proud to be a Chief Presenting Sponsor of the Minnesota Chiefs of Police Association’s Executive Training Institute & Law Enforcement Expo last week.

LGN partner Rebecca Kanninen introduced the association’s Executive Director, Andy Skoogman, at the conference’s President’s Reception. Emily Tranter, from LGN’s Federal Relations team in Washington, D.C., was joined by former Saint Paul Mayor Randy Kelly to present a briefing on emerging issues impacting law enforcement at the federal level,

LGN represents several law enforcement organizations at the state and federal level, including the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association, the North Dakota Peace Officers Association, and the Police Officers Association of Michigan. LGN also works on behalf of cities and counties seeking state and federal funding for public safety-related projects.
