19 LGN Attorneys Named Super Lawyers & Rising Stars

Lockridge Grindal Nauen is proud to announce that nineteen of the firm’s attorneys were selected as 2022 Minnesota Super Lawyers and Rising Stars.

Kate Baxter-Kauf, Joe Bruckner, Brian Clark, Susan Ellingstad, Gregg Fishbein, Yvonne Flaherty, Ted Grindal, Dick Lockridge, Kristen Marttila, Charlie Nauen, Rebecca Peterson, Karen Hanson Riebel, Robert Selquist, Heidi Silton, and David Zoll have been named Super Lawyers. Super Lawyers recognizes the top 5% of outstanding lawyers in each state, who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement, from more than 70 practice areas. 

Joe Bourne, Rebecca Kanninen, Rachel Kitze Collins, and Arielle Wagner have been named Rising Stars. The Rising Stars recognition is given to the top 2.5% of up-and-coming attorneys in the state who are either 40 years or younger, or who have been practicing for 10 years or less. 

The selection process is multi-phased including independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations.

LGN Attorneys File Amicus Brief on Behalf of COSAL

LGN attorneys Charles NauenHeidi SiltonJoe BrucknerKristen Marttila, and Justin Erickson, on behalf of the Committee to Support the Antitrust Laws (“COSAL”), filed an amicus brief supporting the petition for rehearing en banc in the Eleventh Circuit in Johnson v. NPAS Solutions, LLC. In Johnson, a divided panel categorically banned courts from granting service awards to class representatives.

Joe Bruckner Presents at International Antitrust Litigation Forum

LGN partner Joe Bruckner was a session leader and presenter at the Cambridge Antitrust Litigation Forum on October 21-23, 2018. The Forum comprises 48 leading antitrust litigators from across the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, each of whom is personally selected based on their expertise. Joe and others led a discussion of challenges facing antitrust litigants, antitrust policy developments, and emerging issues in competition law. Joe also serves on the Forum’s steering committee. LGN Attorneys take leadership role on Minnesota State Bar Association Antitrust Council

Anna Horning Nygren and Brian Clark were re-elected to the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Antitrust Council at the Antitrust Section’s annual meeting on May 23, 2018.

Craig Davis is completing his year as past chair of MSBA’s Antitrust Section, and was elected as an emeritus member of the Antitrust Council. He joins Joe Bruckner and Heidi Silton as emeritus members. Craig Davis also presented to the annual meeting on recent developments in class actions as part of a continuing legal education panel on “Antitrust Year in Review.”

On May 21, LGN hosted a reception in Minneapolis for the American Antitrust Institute. The AAI is an independent, nonprofit organization which, through research, education and advocacy, promotes the benefits of competition and antitrust enforcement. LGN actively supports the AAI and its mission, and LGN partner Joe Bruckner serves on the AAI’s Board of Directors.
