Washington, D.C. – Primacy Strategy Group (PSG) announced the addition of two new members to their leadership team, former Minnesota House Speaker Kurt Zellers and former National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL) Deputy Executive Director, Nancy Rhyme.

“We are thrilled to add the knowledge, leadership and well established bipartisan experience that both Nancy and Kurt bring to us,” said Ryan Kelly CEO of PSG, “As our team continues to grow, our clients will benefit from the vast legislative and communications expertise Nancy and Kurt bring from their impressive public service careers.”

Zellers will serve as the Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs. Prior to joining Primacy Strategy Group, Zellers was elected the 57th Speaker of the Minnesota House and served 12 years. Rebecca Kanninen, Senior Vice President of PSG, had this to say about the addition of Former Speaker Zellers, “Kurt’s long-standing reputation of reaching across the aisle as well as his exceptional public relations and communications skills allows us to better serve our growing regional and national client base.” Zellers’ bio can be found on the PSG website.

“Joining the PSG team gives me the opportunity to work with our clients in public policy, communications, message development and grassroots across the Midwest and nationally” said Zellers, “The team is amazing, the clients are diverse and the potential for growth is like nothing I have ever seen. I am very excited to join the PSG team.”

Nancy Rhyme joins the PSG team as the Chief Operating Officer and Director of Legislative Strategies after a storied 28-year career with the National Conference of State Legislatures, serving as the Deputy Executive Director in her most recent role. “Nancy’s reputation as a nonpartisan professional, and her experience with legislators and leadership in statehouses all over the United States is second to none,” said Kelly, “Our clients will be a phone call away from one of the brightest and most experienced legislative minds in American public policy.” Rhyme’s bio can be found on the PSG website.

“I have always been impressed with Ryan and the PSG firm. I am excited to add my experiences, expertise and legislative relationships to the team, and share in the rapid expansion of clients in the future,” said Rhyme, “PSG stands apart from its competitors with the depth and breadth of knowledge of their combined team. It is impressive, and I see great success in the future.”

The addition of Rhyme and Zellers, as well as the recent merger of the PSG Washington, D.C. offices announced earlier this week, fortifies Primacy Strategy Group as a full-service government relations and public affairs firm. The PSG team offers a full spectrum of management and communications services for its clients. These services include association management and coalition building, grassroots and grasstops mobilization, nationwide government and regulatory affairs expertise at the federal, state and local levels, as well as government procurement services.
