Lockridge Grindal Nauen is proud to announce that Eura Chang, Develyn J. Ferguson, and Erik Allerson have joined the firm as Summer Associates.

Eura Chang is a student at the University of Minnesota Law School, class of 2022. She graduated from Macalester College in 2015 with a double major in Political Science and Educational Studies. Prior to law school, Eura spent a year teaching English in Ziguinchor, Senegal on a Fulbright grant. She then spent three years in Denver, Colorado working in education policy and parent organizing. During her first year in law school, Eura served as an Asylum Law Project trip leader, worked as an admissions ambassador, and volunteered with Mapping Prejudice. As a 2L, Eura looks forward to working as a certified student attorney in the Immigration and Human Rights Law Clinic and serving as Co-President of the UMN Asian Pacific American Law Student Association.

Develyn J. Ferguson, or “Dev” as he is known by friends and family, is a University of Minnesota Law Student in the class of 2022. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s College of Letters & Science in 2019 with a degree in English and an emphasis on Rhetoric and Writing. During most of his undergraduate studies, Develyn worked full-time as a paralegal at a litigation boutique in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. In his final year at UWM, he started Freelance Paralegal Services, a business providing litigation support to firms in the Greater Milwaukee area. During his 1L year at Minnesota Law, Develyn competed in the school’s Chess League, was elected Class Representative for the Litigation and Trial Advocacy Group (LTAG), and was a board member for the Black Law Students Association (BLSA). In 2021, Dev will return to LTAG as the group’s Treasurer, and he will rejoin BLSA as the organization’s Vice President.

Dev, a recipient of the Charles Nauen and PJ Pofahl Diversity Scholarship, comes to the firm after touring LGN’s Minneapolis office.

Erik Allerson is a student at the University of Minnesota Law School, class of 2022. He graduated from St. Olaf College in 2015 with a double major in Political Science and Russian Area Studies. Prior to attending law school, he served in the United States Army as an Engineer Officer where he was Platoon Leader for a Route Clearance Platoon and Executive Officer of an Engineer Company in the Third Infantry Division. He is currently on the Board of UMN’s Law School Armed Forces Association.
