Overview
Simeon Morbey practices in the firm’s antitrust and e-discovery groups. He is a 2010 graduate of the University of St Thomas School of Law, where he was elected Chairman of the Board of Advocates and was a Senior Editor for the Journal of Law and Public Policy. Before law school, Mr. Morbey worked as a high school English and Mathematics teacher in Tbilisi, Republic of Georgia. In 2021, Mr. Morbey won the prestigious American Antitrust Institute Award for Outstanding Antitrust Litigation Achievement by a Young Lawyer for his work in In re Peanut Farmers Antitrust Litigation, Case No. 2:19-cv-00463 (E.D. Va.).

- In re Peanut Farmers Antitrust Litigation (aka, “D&M Farms et al. v. Birdsong Corp. et al.”), No. 2:19-cv-00463 (E.D. Va.). Firm appointed as co-lead counsel in this resolved antitrust class action on behalf of peanut farmers accusing peanut shelling companies of price-fixing. Recovered $102.75 million for America’s peanut farmers.
- In re Turkey Antitrust Litigation, Case No. 1:19-cv-08319. Firm appointed co-lead counsel in this ongoing antitrust class on behalf of direct purchaser plaintiffs against turkey producers.
- In re Pork Antitrust Litigation, No. 0:18-cv-01776 (D. Minn.). Firm appointed as co-lead counsel in this ongoing antitrust class action on behalf of direct purchaser plaintiffs against pork producers. Recovered $107.5 million for the class to date.
- In re Broiler Chicken Antitrust Litig., No. 1:16-cv-08637 (N.D. Ill.). Firm appointed as co-lead counsel in this ongoing antitrust class action on behalf of direct purchaser plaintiffs against broiler chicken producers. Recovered $170 million for the class to date.
- In re Automotive Parts Antitrust Litigation, MDL No. 2311 (E.D. Mich.) Ongoing representation of direct purchaser plaintiffs in complex antitrust class action against manufacturers of automotive parts.
- In re Capacitors Antitrust Litig., No. 3:14-cv-03264 (N.D. Cal.). Ongoing representation of indirect purchaser plaintiffs in complex antitrust class action against manufacturers of capacitors.
- In re Resistors Antitrust Litig., No. 3:15-cv-03820 (N.D. Cal.). Ongoing representation of indirect purchaser plaintiffs in complex antitrust class action against manufacturers of resistors.
