Overview

Tyler Blackmon is a student at the University of Minnesota Law School, class of 2024. He graduated from Yale University in 2016 with a double major in Economics and Political Science (with distinction). Prior to law school, Tyler worked for five years in politics in Minnesota, including time at the State Capitol and as Finance Director of the Minnesota DFL. In 2019, Mayor Melvin Carter appointed Tyler as the youngest member of the Saint Paul Human Rights & Equal Economic Opportunity (HREEO) Commission. In law school, Tyler serves as Secretary-Treasurer of the American Constitution Society and as a board member of the Student Employment & Labor Law Association. Tyler lives in Saint Paul with his husband, Kevin.
