Ann Lenczewski Talks Taxes at League of Minnesota Cities Annual Conference

LGN’s Ann Lenczewski spoke at the annual conference of the League of Minnesota Cities last week as part of a session discussing the local government impacts of federal and state tax reform.

The session, “Navigating Federal Tax Reform: What Cities Need to Know” addressed questions facing cities as they prepare to deal with federal tax changes as well as how the State of Minnesota will accomplish tax conformity. These issues included the impact of limiting local tax deductions on Minnesota cities, real or perceived shifts in residential property taxes, the impacts of voter-approved levies and the future of local government aid.

Ann serves as a member of the League of Minnesota Cities’ Business Leadership Council and, as head of LGN’s Local Government Practice, assists local governments on a broad range of issues, including tax policy, local government matters, bonding requests, transportation, and strategy.
