Each year, the publication recognizes the top achievements in the Minnesota legal profession. Recipients are chosen based on their leadership, involvement in major cases or other newsworthy events, excellence in corporate or transactional services, and public service.
The three LGN attorneys were recognized alongside a group of attorneys who represented more than 22,000 Minnesota farmers, as well as tens of thousands from across the country, in a class-action against Swiss-based Syngenta, one of the world’s largest producers of seeds and crop chemicals.
Rob Shelquist heads up the firm’s consumer protection and products liability litigation practice groups. During the course of his career, he has represented individuals, small businesses and corporations in a wide range of civil litigation including defective and mispriced products, securities and ERISA, anti-competitive conduct, privacy, and the use of sharp business practices, fraud, misrepresentations, and other statutory violations in conjunction with the sale of goods and services. In addition to being recognized as an Attorney of the Year for 2017, Rob has been named a Minnesota Super Lawyer each year since 2003.
Craig Davis practices in the firm’s complex litigation and class action group. He has worked on lawsuits about business, including antitrust, consumer or product liability, and personal injury. Craig has written and presented on antitrust law, as well as contracts and warranties, and recently chaired the Minnesota State Bar Association’s Antitrust Law Section.
Rebecca Peterson practices in the firm’s class action group with an emphasis in securities, products liability, ERISA, and data privacy litigation. Ms. Peterson had extensive experience prior to joining the firm, including working at Thomson Reuters, the California Attorney General’s Office, North State Advisors, and private law firms.
