LGN Sponsors ACLU-MN Fundraiser: Evening of Dissent

We were proud to sponsor and attend the ACLU of Minnesota’s 2026 Evening of Dissent, supporting the organization’s work to protect civil rights and civil liberties. In attendance from LGN were Kate Baxter-Kauf, Eura Chang, Rachel Kitze Collins, Madison Gaffney, Adam George, Olivia Levinson, and Charlie Nauen.

A highlight of the evening was a moving speech from Amber Estenson, a plaintiff in our firm’s pro bono case with the ACLU of Minnesota challenging the Detroit Lakes Public School District’s ban on rainbow stickers, flags and other expressions of LGBTQ+ support in schools. Through her advocacy, Amber, also known as That Midwestern Mom, has helped bring attention to the importance of protecting students’ freedom of expression and their right to feel safe and supported at school. LGN is grateful to support and work alongside the ACLU of Minnesota on this important case, especially during National Celebration of Pro Bono Week.
