We were excited to host the latest reception for the Committee to Support the Antitrust Laws (COSAL) at Lockridge Grindal Nauen’s Minneapolis office. It was an inspiring evening of cocktails, dinner, and discussion among the antitrust community in Minneapolis. COSAL is the nation’s premier advocacy organization, representing antitrust lawyers and supporting pro-enforcement antitrust legislation.
LGN is proud to have a rich history with COSAL. Many LGN attorneys are active members and serve on various committees. Some highlights are below.
Dick Lockridge was a founding member of COSAL and was presented with the Curt Flood Award “for going to bat for antitrust law” during the 30th anniversary of COSAL in 2016.
Joe Bruckner has been active in COSAL for over 35 years. He served as president in the late 2000s and is now an emeritus member of its executive committee. He also serves on COSAL’s amicus and policy committees.
Heidi Silton took over as president during the COVID pandemic. She was honored for her inspiring leadership during the uncertain time with the 2021 COSAL President’s Award. She continues to be an active member and leader of the organization.
We are excited to announce that Chambers USA 2024 has ranked Lockridge Grindal Nauen PLLP as a top law firm in Minnesota. LGN received a Band 2 ranking in the Minnesota Antitrust category. Additionally, Dick Lockridge received a Senior Statespeople ranking, Joe Bruckner received a Band 1 ranking, and Brian Clark received a Band 3 ranking.

We are pleased to announce the addition of two highly accomplished female attorneys to our team. This expansion underscores our commitment to providing top-tier legal services to our clients.
Toni Konkoly joins us with a wealth of experience in complex civil litigation. Prior to joining the firm, Toni worked for more than a decade at the U.S. Department of Justice – first as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Eastern District of Virginia, and then as a trial attorney with the DOJ’s Civil Division, Federal Programs Branch. She has consistently demonstrated her expertise while defending federal agencies, typically involving constitutional or statutory challenges to significant federal programs or regulations, and/or national security issues. Prior to her federal service, Toni clerked for Magistrate James Orenstein on the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and Judge Thomas Wheeler on the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.
Kristie LaSalle is a recognized expert in complex antitrust class action cases. She is the second attorney to join LGN’s Boston Office. Kristie has been recognized for her outstanding work in anticompetitive, deceptive, and unfair practices in the healthcare industry. Her tireless work on behalf of plaintiffs has earned Kristie a reputation among courts and co-counsel as a strategic and creative litigator, with a track record of success for her clients. She has represented a diverse array of plaintiffs, including individuals, labor unions, and small businesses against some of the largest corporations in the United States and around the globe.
Lockridge Grindal Nauen PLLP is committed to providing exceptional service to our clients and the addition of Toni Konkoly and Kristie LaSalle exemplifies our ongoing efforts to enhance our legal expertise and better serve our community. With their impressive backgrounds and proven track records, we are confident that they will significantly contribute to our firm’s success and our clients’ satisfaction.

LGN is pleased to announce that Senior Counsel, Kyle Pozan, has been nominated to join the editorial board of the American Bar Association (ABA) Antitrust Magazine. He will join a prestigious group of editors and contributors from around the globe.
It comes as no surprise to many that Kyle has been nominated for this high honor. His substantial experience in all phases of antitrust class actions and his passion for the subject, as well as his prior writing experience, make him well-suited for the role.
Antitrust is the premier magazine devoted exclusively to antitrust and consumer protection law. It features original forward-looking articles of practical interest to attorneys, economists, and judges dealing with new court decisions, legislation, or other recent developments. It has a circulation of about 9,000, which goes to all ABA Antitrust Section members in the United States and abroad, and to individual subscribers and libraries. You can learn more and read the latest issue of “Antitrust” by clicking below.
The conference, hosted by the Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., is the premier academic conference of privacy, law, and technology scholars, researchers, and practitioners in the world. It serves as an incubator for scholarship at the forefront of law and technology. Participants read the working papers before the conference, and each paper has a dedicated commentator to guide discussion and feedback on the topic.
Emma and her co-author conducted a hand-coded study of federal appellate decisions from 2021-2023 that cited TransUnion LLC v. Ramirez, 594 U.S. 413 (2021). The article uses the data to track trends in Article III standing decisions in the data-privacy space. The findings will provide a practical guide to data-privacy practitioners navigating standing challenges post-TransUnion, including by analyzing which circuits have proven most receptive to Article III standing arguments, and which causes of action have met the most success.
“Being part of PLSC as a young attorney was an honor. We received feedback on our article from leading scholars in the data-privacy field that will make our work more impactful for academics and practitioners alike. It was an incredible opportunity to be part of cutting-edge conversations!”
Emma Ritter Gordon

Lockridge Grindal Nauen joins our friends in the LGBTQ+ community by celebrating the many great contributions the community has made to our firm, our country, and the world. This year, raising our voices and celebrating Pride Month is more important than ever.
With a major election on the horizon, the LGBTQ+ community is in danger. More than 75 anti-LGBTQ+ bills have been signed into law this year alone, more than doubling last year’s number, which was previously the worst year on record. The good news is many organizations are doing all they can to protect and promote equality.
One pivotal organization, The Human Rights Campaign (HRC), is America’s largest civil rights organization working to achieve equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people. HRC envisions a world where LGBTQ+ people are embraced as full members of society at home, at work, and in every community.
Their campaign entitled “We Show Up: Equality Wins,” is a resounding rejection of intimidation and fear designed to silence and erase the LGBTQ+ community. It will again show America the community’s collective strength and power to stand up, fight back, and secure the future it deserves without exception, as it’s been doing successfully for decades at the ballot box, state houses, school boards, and more.
We hope you join us in support of the important work HRC is doing both in local communities and across the nation. You can learn more about the campaign and how you can get involved via the link below:
Karen Hanson Riebel spoke on the panel titled: “The Powerful Women: You Name It, They Did It, And Now Is Your Chance To Ask Them How.”
Jessica N. Servais spoke on the panel titled: “When You Can’t Direct the Wind, Adjust the Sails: Irritable Tricks in Class Certification and How to Deal with Them.”
The three-day conference celebrates and empowers female leaders in the legal industry. It brings together litigators from around the country and provides them the opportunity to connect with other trailblazers, engage in thought-provoking discussions, and elevate their professional journeys. The summit is produced by Epiq, Jean Sutton Martin of Morgan & Morgan P.A., and Kelly Hyman of the Hyman Law Firm P.A.

Consuela was recently recognized for her many accomplishments during her time at St. Thomas as she was awarded the “Living the Mission Award.” One student from each class and a graduate are selected to receive the “Living the Mission Award.” The award is given to the student/graduate who best exemplifies the mission by his or her activities in and/or outside the classroom or in the profession.
Here is a description of Consuela’s many “activities” that formed the basis for this award:
Throughout her academic career, Consuela has demonstrated leadership as the President of UST BLSA and as the Vice President of the Student Government, serving the student body. In her final year, she was instrumental in a student team’s effort to draft a proposal to the Minnesota Association of Black Lawyers (MABL), seeking financial support for a BLSA Moot Court competition team. This team, which competed in the NBLSA Midwest competition and secured fourth place, achieved this success without the guidance of a coach. Despite not being a member of the organization, Consuela has contributed her support to the Muslim Law Students Association (MSLA) by assisting in the planning of their annual Iftar dinner. Additionally, she has dedicated her time to volunteering in the MJF Street Law program as a student teacher and as a judge for the Minnesota Classic Debate.
Congratulations, Consuela!
