LGN is proud to announce a new Generative AI litigation practice area to address the legal complexities surrounding this groundbreaking technology.

Generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) has quickly become a widely used technology. But the deployment of GenAI has led to issues concerning the compensation of creators, such as artists and authors, for the creative work that feeds the models powering GenAI. LGN is at the forefront of litigation on behalf of creators to seek fair compensation for the use of their work.

LGN’s Generative AI lawyers believe in responsible GenAI development and use, and strive to set a precedent for ethical practices within the legal framework of Generative AI. We recognize the need for a nuanced approach to Generative AI legal services and are dedicated to navigating the intricate legal landscape of Generative AI. LGN Associate Eura Chang participates in panel discussion at the Twin Cities Diversity in Practice (“TCDIP”) General Members Meeting

On Tuesday LGN Associate Eura Chang participated in a panel discussion at the Twin Cities Diversity in Practice (“TCDIP”) General Members Meeting.  Eura and her co-panelists spoke about the importance of TCDIP’s 1L Clerkship program, which is open to all first year law students.  LGN has participated in this program, in partnership with the Metropolitan Council,  for several years and we are thrilled to have met and worked with many wonderful law students, including Eura who joined us as an associate after she graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Law in 2022.  Congratulations, Eura!

LGN Sponsors the Minnesota American Indian Bar Association Golf Tournament

LGN attorneys David Zoll, Eura Chang, and Arielle Wagner joined Mille Lacs Band Solicitor General Caleb Dogeagle at the MN American Indian Bar Association’s annual golf tournament. The event raised over $28,000 to support scholarships for American Indian students attending law school in Minnesota.

LGN was proud to sponsor Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity’s Black Tie and Hard Hat Gala this past weekend and clearly, LGNers Jess Lindeen, Amos Briggs, Kevin Matzek, and Eura Chang were thrilled to attend (photobooth & all!) We have the privilege of representing Twin Cities Habitat at the Capitol and supporting their work to meaningfully address Minnesota’s racial homeownership gap and advance Black homeownership. As part of this work, Twin Cities Habitat advocated for a new $100 million First Generation Down Payment Assistance Program that will begin this summer.

LGN Law Clerk Eura Chang Recently Featured in Minnesota Law Review’s Issue 2

LGN Law Clerk Eura Chang was recently featured in the Minnesota Law Review’s Issue 2.  Eura’s Note focuses on the racially disparate impacts of the bar exam and how willful blindness to the bar exam’s disparate impacts is condoned in part by two legal doctrines that protect decision-makers from legal accountability—absolute immunity doctrine and an uncompromisingly limited interpretation of the Fourteenth Amendment.
